Sen. Ed Markey beat Rep. Seth Moulton in the September 1 Democratic primary with 64.9% of the vote. He now faces Republican John Deaton, the party's 2024 nominee against Sen. Elizabeth Warren. Republicans haven't won a Senate race here since 2010.
